Ann Campbell-Kendrick
Illinois Chapter of the Black Panther Party
Ann Campbell-Kendrick joined the Illinois Chapter in 1968 and became the acting Communications Secretary after Iris Shinn left the position. She details her experience with various Party initiatives, the horror of the December 4, 1969 raid to assassinate Fred Hampton, identifying his body, and staying in touch with the Hampton family through the years.
