Looking Ahead to 2026:A Gift for You

Black Panther Party Founded Oct. 15, 1966

Dear Friends,

We hope you’re having a great start to the new year.

As we begin 2026, we’re preparing for the 60th Anniversary of the Black Panther Party's founding and continuing work on the Black Panther Party Heritage Trail in Illinois. We’re developing new educational and digital materials and look forward to sharing more as the work moves forward.

We’re grateful to have received a $25,000 grant from the Richard H. Driehaus Foundation in support of our historical marker installations.

We continue to coordinate with the City of Chicago and relevant departments on permits and approvals for installing our historical markers, and we appreciate your patience as these processes move forward.

As a gift, we’re pleased to share a free 2026 printable calendar honoring the Black Panther Party’s history, activism, and enduring impact.

Printing recommendation: 11 × 17 inches on 60-pound white paper. Printing costs are typically $2 or less.

If you’d like to help sustain this work, your continued membership or a contribution—at any level—makes a meaningful difference.

With appreciation,

Leila Wills, Executive Director
